CCC Is Expanding Its Leadership Team — Seeking Our First Founder’s Apprentice

Classy Chick Chat is entering a new season of intentional growth and is expanding its internal leadership infrastructure.

We are now accepting applications for our Founder’s Apprentice, a selective 3-month leadership development internship designed for a college junior, senior, or recent graduate seeking real exposure to nonprofit leadership, executive operations, and organizational development.

This is not a general administrative internship.

This is direct proximity to a founder and hands-on experience supporting the operational backbone of a growing youth leadership organization.

Position Overview

The Founder’s Apprentice will work directly with the Founder & Executive Director to support:

  • Organizational systems

  • Executive scheduling

  • Program operations

  • Board governance preparation

  • Event logistics coordination

  • Internal workflow development

This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit leadership, entrepreneurship, executive operations, or organizational management.

Core Responsibilities

🔹 Executive & Operational Support

  • Assist with calendar coordination and scheduling

  • Draft and organize professional email communications

  • Take meeting notes and prepare follow-up summaries

  • Track deadlines related to grants, programs, and events

  • Maintain internal task tracking systems

🔹 Systems & Infrastructure Development

  • Organize and maintain Google Drive systems

  • Create and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Support workflow organization and task management processes

  • Assist in developing internal tracking dashboards

🔹 Program & Event Operations

  • Support planning logistics for CCC programs and events

  • Manage checklists and vendor follow-ups

  • Assist in creating event run-of-show documents

  • Track RSVPs and participation data

  • Support execution during in-person events as needed

🔹 Board & Governance Support

  • Assist with preparing board meeting agendas and folders

  • Track board action items

  • Organize governance documents

  • Maintain internal documentation systems

🔹 Impact & Data Organization

  • Assist with tracking attendance and program metrics

  • Organize data for reports and grant support

  • Compile basic impact summaries when needed

Internship Details

  • 3-Month Term

  • 10–12 Hours Per Week

  • Hybrid (Remote + Metro Detroit In-Person Support)

  • Weekly mentorship check-in

Ideal Candidate

  • College junior, senior, or recent graduate

  • Majoring in Business, Nonprofit Management, Entrepreneurship, Public Administration, or related field

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Comfortable with Google Workspace
